We named our flagship rod MIDCHANNEL to symbolize confidence—giving anglers a single dependable rod they can rely on across any regional fishery without doubt or compromise.

We want you to choose the right tool for the water
Lure weights above 3/4oz over-load the fast-action tip, reducing casting distance and hook-setting speed in deep 30ft+ drift currents.
Targeting monster blue catfish with 4-8oz lead sinkers requires heavy conventional catcasting outfits with 50-80lb line ratings.
Coastal Atlantic surf fishing into heavy ocean breakers demands 10-12ft surf spinning rods engineered to cast heavy pyramid sinkers past the sandbar.
Casting micro trout flies or 1/32oz darter jigs in small mountain creeks requires a 5'6" ultralight spinning rod rated for 2-4lb test line.
MIDCHANNEL Care & Maintenance SOP
Simple steps to ensure your multi-modulus graphite rod maintains peak sensitivity and structural integrity for decades of Mid-Atlantic fishing.
1. Saltwater Fresh Rinse
After fishing brackish water (C&D Canal, Susquehanna Flats, Delaware Bay), rinse the rod guides and reel seat with warm tap water to remove salt deposits.
2. Guide Ring Inspection
Periodically run a cotton swab through the SeaGuide RS guide ring inserts. Any snagged cotton indicates a hairline crack from transport impact.
3. Cork Handle Care
Clean dirt and fish slime off the AAA cork grip using mild dish soap, warm water, and a soft sponge. Let air dry completely before storing.
4. High-Stick Prevention
Never lift fish into the boat by bending the rod past 90 degrees ('high-sticking'). Always use a landing net or lip gripper to protect the tip blank.
